What is the purpose of the Gene Doyle Adventure Scholarship?

Simply put, it is the goal of the Gene Doyle Memorial Foundation to keep Gene’s spirit alive by cultivating and supporting kindred spirits who share his love of life and nature. We believe that adventure travel provides unparalleled learning opportunities.

Applicants may choose from the many adventure trips offered by the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), Outward Bound, or Alaska Mountaineering School. The Memorial Foundation will provide finances to support the scholarship recipients in their chosen quests.
